Arrived excited to try wines from a brand we have purchased from numerous times. Now well never go back. What a shame. No friendly genuine Mclaren Vale welcome here.
A group of us were on a little vineyard tour of the Mclaren Vale region on December 10th. Our group were all Canadians and on the advice of some locals, we were advised to check out AB&D winery. Certainly not as elaborate a location as the other vineyards in the area, but some of the best wines we tried so far in Australia!! As well the Cellar door host, Tristan was both entertaining and knowledgeable, a fun experience. We purchased 6 bottles, however when we got to our rental home in Glenelg, we realized we did not receive the right bottle that we had ordered. Although no big deal, we sent them a note about the error. Well to our surprise, a courier just showed up at the door with the replacement bottle of the original order and did not want the mistaken bottle back!! What exceptional service. We happy Canucks wish AB&D, the very best!!! Australia! What a great place with great people!!
We had an absolute blast at this winery. Hands down favourite winery in all of Australia. The host we had said it was her first day and she did such an amazing job. Recommend this place hands down, hope we can be back soon!
An amazing little winery and well worth a visit every time. The cellar door is super funky and fun, and the wines are delicious. They offer an extensive wine tasting menu, and we were led through the tasting menu by the wine maker himself and he did such a fantastic job of explaining the wines to us in a unique and fun way. We took our little dog along with us, so we love that this is a dog friendly venue as well!
Wonderful cellar door with great staff and a great vibe. Started and ended our wine tour here and got what I wanted: interesting blends/varietals made with heart and sold with passion. Will definitely come-back and consider it a must-see for anyone visiting McLaren Vale.
