Good ambiance and location. The entrees of mussels and scallops were fantastic. The mains of linguine and pasta weren't as expected, especially compared to the very tasty entrees....we felt too much pasta vs other ingredients, just personal preference. We had a chardonnay, reasonable but not memorable. Wait staff were busy but very friendly. Couple of nicer touches would have been to pour the wine when you buy a bottle, bowl of water to wash hands when eating seafood with your hands and cleaning of the table between dishes. While our experience wasn't the best, I'd still recommend trying out this restaurant.
Love these guys, amazing food, presentation, wine and service. It's a lovely dining experience. Our "go to" place for any occasion.
Lovely food. Barramundi cooked perfectly, crispy skin with a thick and tender tender flesh, attention to details in food preparations and presentation which was on the rustic side rather than super- constructed. We did not have wine so i cannot comment there. Pleasant, simple surroundings in old building nicely converted. Cool on a hot day.
Excellent Barramundi - crispy skin was yum.The South Australian crab pasta was also excellent.Will be back soon to try some of the wine.Thanks for a very pleasant lunch.
My husband & I had an amazing lunch today, beef cheeks with gnocchi, absolutely the best we have eaten in Adelaide. Maria, manager owner was so warm & friendly. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Vasarelli Cellar Door Restaurant to eat at. We will definitely be back with family & friends. Thank you for making our day special with great food & wine.
